Ubiquiti Unifi Camera Application 2FA Set-up
Why: Security to ensure accounts and passwords are not stolen shared etc.
When: starting July. 2024
How:
Easiest: Click "Email Authentication and when you log into your unify account it will send a code to your email)
Steps:
Per Email from Unifi Application there are (3) options to verify your account we recommend either the 2nd option (App Authentication) or the 3rd (email Authentication) *note the first would be fine too but if you are already using DUO, Google or Microsoft then adding yet another 2FA application would be redundant.
Option 3 Step 2 : check your email address provided and input the code provided
Option 2 Step1 click "App Authentication" then a barcode will be generated simply open the 2FA application on your mobiel device (phone ipad etc) and scan the barcode then look at the new account on your device and enter the code before it changes evert minute.
